Sinn Féin MLA Boylan calls for public input on transport accessibility plans

The consultation aims to gather public views on proposals to create a more accessible and inclusive transport system, with a focus on improving travel for older, deaf and disabled people.
The party’s infrastructure spokesperson said: “As Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins is committed to make transport more accessible and inclusive for all.
“For many older, deaf and disabled people barriers exist that can affect their independence, wellbeing and opportunities to travel often making their everyday journeys difficult.
“The consultation will give the public the opportunity to have their say on proposals to create a more accessible and inclusive transport system.
“I would encourage individuals, community groups and representative organisations to take part in this consultation and share their views.
“Everyone should be able to travel safely and confidently to the places and services that matter to them and this consultation is an important step in helping to build a fair and connected society.”
